Terms of Use for Arztrechnungen

Effective October 2026

1. Scope

These terms of use apply to the app Arztrechnungen by Mathias Todisco, Schleswiger Ufer 5, 10555 Berlin, Germany. In addition, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies.

2. What the App Does

Arztrechnungen helps you manage and analyze private medical bills, submissions and reimbursements. The app does not replace tax, legal or insurance advice. It is no substitute for the notices from your PKV and your Beihilfe office.

3. Calculations and Amounts Read Out

Text recognition, analysis and calculations of reimbursements, own share, deductible and the tax overview are provided without warranty. Amounts that were read out or calculated may be wrong. Please check them yourself before you rely on them or use them with your insurer, Beihilfe office or tax office.

4. Trial, Subscriptions and Purchase

From the first launch you can use the app with all features free of charge for 14 days. After that, adding and editing invoices requires a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or the one-time lifetime purchase. Without a subscription or purchase your data stays readable and exportable, and you can back it up or delete it at any time.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the App Store and your Apple Account. The prices shown by the App Store before the purchase apply. Payment is charged when you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel them in your Apple Account settings. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are subject to Apple’s terms.

You pay for the lifetime purchase once. It does not expire and applies to all devices using the same Apple Account. Use “Restore Purchases” in the app’s settings to move purchases to a new device.

5. Your Data and Backups

Your data is stored on your device and, if you turn it on, in iCloud or a storage of your choice. You are responsible for creating regular backups of your data and for keeping your password for encrypted backups safe. An encrypted backup cannot be restored without that password.

6. Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence I am liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

7. Changes

I may develop and change the app and these terms. The current version is available at https://todisco.de/en/arztrechnungen-terms.

9. Applicable Law

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
